Our Mission is to help your student build solid technique and apply it to any movement based activity through safe dance practices and lots of fun! Ballet teaches basic principles that can be applied to sports (football, soccer, basketball, swimming, etc.), gymnastics, horse back riding, singing, theater, and of course any other dance style!
We believe confidence in movement builds confidence in other areas of life, and we are excited to help your child move forward in whatever path they choose.
In our Ballet Technique classes we build strength by learning a set barre routine for the year. Practicing a set barre allows the students to focus on strength and connectivity – instead of constantly learning an entire class of new steps. New combinations are added during the semester as the students are ready for them. This focus on technique is best demonstrated as the students apply the strength and connectivity from the barre routine to center exercises and choreography.
Our Tap Classes introduce students to rhythm in the most exciting ways – who doesn’t want to make noise with their feet? In our Level 1 class we cover the parts of the tap shoe, weight changes, of course the basic tap steps and HOW to get those awesome sounds with proper technique. Level 2 continues the journey adding more steps, turns and performance techniques.
